Hard to believe 2024 was only last year. At the beginning of 2024, Thunderbird Clubhouse (TBCH) was rejuvenated by a shift back to our mission and after earning our three-year Accreditation from Clubhouse International.

In January, as administrative lead for the Cleveland County Continuum of Care (CoC), Thunderbird Clubhouse led the charge for the PIT (point-in-time) Count of our unhoused friends. February was full steam ahead as we revitalized our employer appreciation dinner and sent a group of colleagues “club-hopping” in Indiana.

Spring forward to April for our inaugural Ambassador Luncheon and fun in the sun at the Medieval Fair, Norman Music Festival, and annual camping trip. In July, a group of colleagues received an invitation to the Michigan Clubhouse Coalition Conference to present on member leadership, employment, housing, and fundraising. September marked the 17th annual Blake Owens Memorial Golf Tournament benefiting Thunderbird Clubhouse.

October brought us to Oasis, literally, as we celebrated with our colleagues for the grand opening of Oasis Clubhouse in Edmond (and third Clubhouse in Oklahoma). Meanwhile, back at Thunderbird Clubhouse, Out of 154 eligible referrals, 77 people completed orientation and became new members.

The culinary unit prepared and served over 5000 meals last year. Thunderbird Clubhouse supported 16 members working on educational goals, and on average, we assisted 30 members a month with housing issues.

All that to say, Thunderbird Clubhouse is proud of its accomplishments in 2024 and ready to raise the bar in 2025!
