Dan Dukes

was appointed Employment Coordinator for Thunderbird Clubhouse in 2020. A resident of Norman since 2000, he was introduced to the Clubhouse in 2010. It was a few years later that he became fortunate enough to become an employer of a Clubhouse member and has continued a relationship with members and staff for the past 10 years. 

“While I was the District Manager for Raising Canes until 2014, I was lucky to have three incredible members working with me here in town, and at the University of Oklahoma. A couple of those members are still employed today.

As the Chairperson of the Human Rights Commission for Norman, I see the value in people and their ability to bring something special to a workplace no matter who they are. Having grown up “different” and often times feeling like an outsider, I have been a life-long advocate for others and a defender for human rights. Employment is a major part of our life and having the ability to be self-sufficient should be accessible to everyone.

I am extremely proud to be a part of the Thunderbird Team and will do my very best to make every member feel valued and empowered. “
